Day 14

Today all the stormwater/drainage piping was installed around the property and the frame was delivered on site.

Day 13

a Light shower areound today not alot or rain though. No change to the site

Day 12

No Changes to the site today... look forward to seeing what starts happening on monday

Day 11

Today saw the start of the electrical go in, with what looks like the consumer mains and telecom conduiting along with i am assuming the 3 phase cabling to go with it.

Day 10

Into Double Figures now, and no change on the block but that was to be expected!!

Day 9

No Change again today, but we were informed that external drainage works will start on monday with the frame starting to go up not long after that...the red on the slab is fading as well...

SO as there is not much happening while the slab dries out here is the ground floor and what it will look like

Day 8 (Week 2)

This time last week the block was just freshly cut... today no real changes apart from some enviromental barriers put up.

Day 7

Another Drying day today so nothing new, however the block looks a little sunburnt with a bit of a red colour developing on the surface.

Day 6

Today was a "rest day" well not much you can do while the slab is drying and well it is sunday too.

so instead, today we went and purchased the tiles for the ground floor, a nice 600x600 porcelain number.

Day 5

Today saw the pouring of the slab and the clearing of the formwork leaving behind a solid grey base for the house ready for the frame to start going up....

Day 4

We met with the site manager today, and tomorrow the slab will be poured... 4 days to get a slab together ready for concrete:

Day 3

Thursday, the foam pod thingies have gone in and i dont think it will be long before the concrete is poured.

So exciting

Day 2

Wednesday was a new day and that brings more changes, the slab is starting to take shape

It has Begun!!!

By chance i swung by the block on the way home..and to my suprise i found that work has started.. So Exciting.

or someone stole half of our block

20 Days to go

The countdown is on 20 days untill construction starts.....what an effort the last month has been with the christmas shutdown and the general slow pace of the bank paying the builder.... our First installment is paid and in 20 days they will start work on our brand new house

it is such a relief to get that part out of the way

so our future home will no longer look like this
